M$ Forces User to Upgrade
Ridiculous! M$ doesn’t realize that the reason why some users like myself refuses to upgrade to their new client is because every upgrade they have made, the GUI is drastically different from the last version. There’s no way to use the old GUI through themes/skins, and I’m forced to relearn how all the options and tools we’ve grown accustom to after the few months all over again; not to mention that the client is very likely to be bulkier and probably a resource hog with each upgrade.
Yeah, upgrades are great since (hopefully) its more secure, but there’s no reason to drastically change the GUI on every single upgrade. Its just eye-candy, and I’m just using it to chat.
Now I’m forced to either upgrade or not use their service. This is the message I got when I tried to login today.
Time to use Pidgin I guess!
